CLEVELAND — Cleveland police responded to a shooting near Case Western Reserve University's campus Friday evening, according to the university.
Around 8:39 p.m., the university issued an alert for an emergency reported on campus that police were investigating. At that time, authorities advised the campus community to stay alert, remain in place and await instruction.
A short time later, the university issued another alert that Cleveland police had apprehended an individual believed to be involved in a shooting in the area of East 123rd Street and Euclid Avenue.
CWRU said that no injuries were reported and that the campus had been given the "all clear."
