A Cleveland police sergeant was arrested Sunday for OVI.
Sergeant Jeri Smith was arrested by Cleveland police at 881 East 152nd Street.
According to court records, Smith was charged with DUI, driving under the influence and failure to control after registering a .156 blood alcohol level. The legal limit is .08.
According to Sergeant Jennifer Ciaccia of the Cleveland Police Department, Smith was assigned to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport unit.
She was hired in February of 1987.
Smith was assigned to restricted duty after her arrest. She will remain on restricted duty pending the adjudication of criminal charges.
