Cleveland is the 11th most polluted city in the nation, according to a new report from the American Lung Association.
Out of 171 metropolitan areas, Cleveland ranked 11th for annual particle pollution.
The city ranked 27th for number of high ozone days and 34th for 24-hour particle pollution.
Cuyahoga County was given an 'F' for ozone days, a 'D' for 24-hour particle pollution and a failing grade for annual particle pollution.
According to the American Lung Association, despite these low grades, Cuyahoga County improved to its best levels ever recorded in 2016.
