CLEVELAND — A firefighter was injured after he fell through the first floor of a home into a basement while battling a house fire on Columbia Avenue Monday, according to the Cleveland Division of Fire.
Crews responded at around 11:30 p.m. to a 2.5 story vacant house fire on Columbia Road in the 6th Battalion.
A lieutenant on Engine 30 fell through the first floor into the basement. He received minor injuries to the knee and shoulder.
He was transported by EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center for evaluation.
