Police are investigating a wine thief at one local Giant Eagle.
The man went to the same location multiple times. He’s stolen close to $800 worth of wine and other merchandise from the Giant Eagle on Royalton Road in North Royalton on thee separate occasions, one of which, he actually jimmied the lock to break in and open the champagne wine cooler.
Officers now need your help identifying this man.
You can see from the surveillance video, the man walked into the facility in bright colors, fully exposed for cameras to see.
The first incident was on March 25 in the evening, and his most recent theft was this past Saturday around the same time.
So far investigators report 11 bottles of wine and champagne have been stolen.
“There is consistency in the time and the manor. He seems to think that he can go in and walk right out without anyone noticing or caring or but he was picked up by video so he must be aware of that, or he doesn’t care,” said Detective David Loeding of the North Royalton Police Department
Loading said at this point they are unsure if the suspect lives or works in the area.
That's why they need anyone in the community with any information on the robberies or on the suspect to come forward as soon as possible.
