A homicide investigation is underway near the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, according to police reports.

The man's body was found about 1:45 p.m. by a passerby under the West 25th Street bridge near the railroad tracks, which is not on zoo property, said Police Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia. She said traffic in and out of the zoo should not be impacted by the investigation.

The body was not found on zoo property, according to Jacqueline Gerling, Directoer of Communications for Cleveland Metroparks. Police are investigating the homicide away from zoo property.
