Cleveland police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found early Thursday near The Flats.
Officers responded to the area of Robert Lockwood Jr. Drive and Columbus Road just after midnight. When they arrived, they found a 56-year-old man dead with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.
A handgun was found on the ground near his body.
The homicide unit and Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office responded to investigate.
The medical examiner's office identified the man as Gordon Beecher Milne of Cleveland.
