A man was hit by a car while he was near the intersection of Kinsman Road and East 140th Street on Thursday, police said.
At 6:43 a.m., Melissa Seip was driving a 2006 Pontiac G6 east on Kinsman Road through the East 140th Street intersection when she struck a victim in or near the crosswalk, police reported.
The victim, identified by police only as Mr. Chambers, was conveyed to University Hospital by Cleveland EMS and was later pronounced dead.
Seip turned herself in, police reported. She was not arrested at that time and charges are pending.
