A man was shot by another man at an apartment complex on Edmonton Avenue.
On Saturday, police responded to the 12000 block of Arlington Avenue to assist a man shot.
Police said when they arrived, they spoke with a sergeant and the victim, identified as Clarence Mitchell, 32. Mitchell said he went over to an apartment on Edmonton Avenue to visit a girl only known as Dada.
Mitchell told police an unknown man was there. Mitchell and the man got into a verbal altercation and that's when the man pulled out a gun and shot Mitchell.
Mitchell said he ran to a residence on Arlington Avenue. Police reported he was taken by EMS to University Hospital in stable condition.
Police searched the apartment complex on Edmonton Avenue, but no one answered the door to the apartment.
