Cleveland police are investigating an overnight shooting on Nathaniel Road.
David Welch, 34, was shot in the head around 2:30 a.m. Thursday just south of St. Clair Avenue. That's just one block from the Cleveland police fifth district headquarters.
Police say Welch was conscious and talking while being transported to University Hospital.
Officers found a Chevy Cruz at the scene that had the driver's side window shot out. Several bullets and a small bag of suspected narcotics were also found.
According to police, the victim said he did not know who shot him.
