Movie filming in Cleveland starring K.J. Apa from Riverdale looking for extras for June 7 shoot

A feature film has been using Cleveland as its backdrop for the last month, and the casting crew is looking for extras as it continues to shoot this week.

The Last Summer is a film about a group of young adults and how they spend their last summer after high school, according to a press release from the film's casting department. It stars K.J. Apa from The CW's Riverdale, Maia Mitchell from ABC's The Fosters and Jacob Litmore from The Maze Runner.

Extras are needed for a scene involving a skateboard competition with world famous skaters Zion Wright and Alex Sorgente.

  • Extras needed: Ages ten to 40. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Location: Local skateboarding arena (extras will be notified of the exact location once they contact the casting crew)
  • Date: June 7
  • Time: 5 p.m. - 5 a.m. (overnight shoot)
  • Compensation: $10/hour for eight hours and overtime pay after that
