Video obtained by newnet5 from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District showed the area adjacent to the Cudell Recreation Center at the time of the Nov. 22 shooting of Tamir Rice.

The surveillance cameras on Seltzer Elementary School are visible from the gazebo where the 12-year-old Rice was shot by Cleveland Police when officers say he pulled a toy gun from his waistband.

The video camera though closest to the shooting was pointed in a different direction at the time and did not show the shooting itself.

Other cameras, including one on the north side of the school show a man reacting around the time the shots were fired.

Cleveland Police could not say whether or not they requested the school's surveillance tapes, but they did however urge anyone with video related to the investigation to contact Cleveland Police at (216) 623-5474.
