Nun says her identity was stolen

Posted

A former nun tells newsnet5.com she has had her identity stolen, again.

Dr. Mary Hilaire Tavenner said just days ago, someone hacked into her email account and began sending messages in her name, asking for money and claiming that she was out of the country.

She is now locked out of her email account.

“I don’t know what to do about it. I’m very frustrated. A couple of years ago it happened. Said I was in the Philippines,” said Dr. Tavenner. “Last year somebody stole $600 out of my checking account. Thank goodness the bank believed me.”
