Smash and grab robbers went after the wrong gas station early Thursday morning.

One of the owners told News 5 he was scared for his life.

"I just grabbed the phone as fast as I could and I called 911," he said.

Then, his brother, who has a concealed carry permit, took action.

He aimed the gun at the robbers and they ran off empty-handed.

"Store owners are going to start standing up for themselves," one of the owners, who did not want to be identified, told News 5. "They worked too hard for the stuff that they own."

The family says they are not going to let the incident get them down. They're estimating about $15,000 worth of damage but they are relieved no one was hurt.
