A suspicious package found on an Orange High School bus turned out to be a harmless class project, according to Moreland Hills police.

Lt. Todd Dietzel said that the package was found around 3:30 p.m. by the bus driver after children were dropped off and before more were picked up.

Authorities said the bus was taken back to the school immediately, located off Chagrin Boulevard in Moreland Hills

A SPAN bomb squad responded to the scene and after investigating, discovered that it was a pinhole camera a student was making in a photography class. The student left the small package inside the bus on accident, police said.

The box was in a black bag covered with duct tape, measuring about 3 by 4 inches.

Officials said a nearby technology building and a bus garage were evacuated as a precaution. No students were evacuated.

The student will not face any charges, Lt. Dietzel said.
