Cleveland firefighters responded to Public Square Friday afternoon for reports of smoke coming out of manholes.
Authorities said smoke was also detected in the basement of nearby buildings.

Crews have shut off the power at 75 Public Square. Authorities said no other outages are expected.
The cause of the smoke is unknown at this time.
