A lawsuit filed by nine Clevleand police officers claiming that the department treated them unfairly in the wake of the Nov. 29, 2012 chase has been dismissed.
A judge ruled that the suit did not have enough evidence to prove that the Cleveland Division of Police discriminated against the officers, all white, when they were disciplined after the chase.
The suit names lesser disciplinary measures leveled against black officers who killed suspects, but the judge pointed out that the situations were not the same as the deadly chase and shooting.
