CLEVELAND — The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority announced that an employee had tested positive for COVID-19 this past week.
RTA said that the employee works in the revenue department and first reported symptoms on July 22, the same day the employee tested positive and last worked.
All work areas, equipment and other areas of potential exposure were cleaned and disinfected and staff who may have been in contact with the employee have been notified, according to RTA.
To date, RTA has had 28 employees test positive for COVID-19, 21 of whom have fully recovered and returned to work.
