2ND UPDATE: Full rail service has resumed on the Red Line between the Airport and Windermere.
Rail service for the Red Line has been fully restored after an earlier electrical issue.
UPDATE: Rail service for the Red line has been restored to the westside, between Tower City and the Airport.
Buses continue to replace trains east of Tower City while repairs continue.
RTA riders can also use the Healthline between Tower City and Windermere for faster service to points east.

EARLIER: The RTA Red Line has been shut down and trains have replaced buses after electrical issues forced the closure of the route.
Transit workers are working to resolve the issue quickly, according to spokeswoman Linda Krecic.
