It might be cold and snowy now, but as you know we've had a relatively light winter season, which means less money in snow plowers pockets.
Joe Ciani, business owner for Ciani Lawncare, explained this type of weather is exactly what he’s been waiting for.
"Yeah I've been waiting but I got the kids at home to keep me busy other projects and other projects to do," he said.
The current downfall and frigid temperatures are allowing winter businesses to make ends meet.
“Oh yeah I'll be out day and night, whatever it takes," Ciani said.
And it's not just the plowers that are benefiting.
“It really increases every time it snows, especially if we have a snowstorm like we're having right now where it's multiple days guys get tired might bump the curb or whatever blower hose it happens quite often," said Shaun Eshleman, who does maintenance on snowplows and trucks.
He has seen a significant increase the past few days.
“As far as repairs go I mean snowplows only break when they're being used so I mean increases 10/20 fold," he said.
He also said this afternoon alone will be the busiest for him as snow plowers are usually done with their shifts by then. And if this weather keeps up, he predicts business will more than likely triple by the end of the week.
