A student at St. Ignatius High School was carjacked while sitting in his vehicle after school.

Police say the student was sitting in the parked car in the school parking lot on W. 30th St. and Lorain Ave. after lacrosse tryouts. He told police he was his mom's car, which he drove to school that day. He was sending an email on his phone when two men came up to the car.

One of the suspects opened the driver-side door and told the student to "get out of the car and give me your cell phone," the victim told police. Before he could get out, he said the suspect grabbed him, pulled him out of the car, threw him to the ground and took his iPhone.

The suspect got into the driver's seat, the other suspect got into the passenger seat and the pair drove away.

The suspect who threw the victim to the ground is a black male in his late teens or early twenties, about six feet tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing a dark camouflage hoodie and dark pants.

Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police located the Kia Sportage and one man was charged with receiving stolen property.  Police will investigate if the person arrested was involved in the original incident.
