Councilman Zack Reed said Cleveland has made steps in the right direction to prove the city embraces diversity.
The Ward 2 council member was talking about the installation of a unisex restroom at Voinovich Park.
"I got to believe that the mayor's going to sign it and this moves us in the best directing toward showing we are an inclusive city," said Reed.
The idea, however, does not sit well with everyone.
"I'm used it being all women bathroom, all men bathroom,” said Cleveland resident Jasmine Taylor. "I don't want to be coming out the bathroom and I got a man standing there while I’m getting myself together. Women go in the bathroom and do a lot of different things.”
