CLEVELAND — US Marshals have arrested two murder suspects within 24 hours.

Damon Vaughyn Levelle Johnson, 27, is accused of shooting and killing a person in the 1800 block of Hastings Avenue in East Cleveland on July 10.

He was arrested by the East Cleveland Police Department last week.

Marshals said he was arrested without incident.

Immediately after Johnson was arrested, Marshals learned that Denico Carson, 29, was hiding in a home in the 300 block of Tampa Avenue in Old Brooklyn, officials said.

Carson was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department for almost a year for numerous drug charges, failure to comply with orders of the police and involuntary manslaughter.

“Hard work and our strong partnership with the community led to the capture of these two suspects. We will continue to work hard for our community to keep its citizens safe from violent individuals such as this," US Marshal Pete Elliott said.
