A woman's plea for help on Facebook was met with police and SWAT working to end a hostage situation, police said.

The 35-year-old woman sent her friend a message on Facebook saying that her boyfriend — identified by police as Justin Reidle — was holding her against her will in their home.

The friend alerted police, who responded to the home on the 3200 block of W. 127th Street in Cleveland. They dispatched SWAT at around 5 p.m. and Reidle was arrested at around 6:15 p.m.

A police source said that the woman was in handcuffs inside the home with her boyfriend, who assaulted her and has a history of threatening officers.

SWAT responded and he was arrested without incident at around 6:15 p.m., police said.

Police found a "closet marijuana grow" as well as rifles, pistols and large hunting knives in the home.
