A Lakewood man is facing multiple charges after drunkenly entering a home and struggling with police as they tried to take him into custody.

Jeffrey A. Wurth was found lying on the home's first floor landing when the resident's aunt arrived to the home and spotted him.

The woman screamed for her niece, the home's resident, initially believing the man was her niece's brother.

The resident called police while Wurth allegedly made his way up the stairs and to the third floor, attempting to open a door along the way and throwing a large metal mixing bowl down the stairs, according to the incident report.

According to a statement from the resident, the door Wurth entered was unlocked and there was no forced entry.

When Lakewood police arrived and attempted to take Wurth into custody, he apparently became unruly, struggling with officers as they attempted to put him into handcuffs.

Wurth faces charges Criminal Trespassing, Resisting Arrest and DCI.
