LYNDHURST, Ohio — A former daycare worker accused of causing injury to a child at a Lyndhurst daycare has been arrested, authorities said.

Michelle Brown turned herself in Thursday night on a warrant that had been issued for her arrest. She was arrested on one count of endangering children.

Authorities say video from the Little Stars Early Learning Center shows an 18-month-old boy put in time out for hours.

“His final time of getting up from the time out. He was slung into the table and that’s how he hit his head,” said Jazmyn Alexander, the boy’s mother.

When she picked her son up from daycare, she found he had a bruise on his forehead and a chipped baby tooth.

While the incident report said he was talking and fell, the daycare worker told her he was running and fell. Alexander thought something was a miss and took her son to the hospital.

Her fears were soon confirmed when state and county officials watched what video cameras at the daycare captured.
