CLEVELAND — Verizon Wireless customers who struggled to make phone calls on Sunday were not alone.

An intermittent issue at local cell sites across Northeast Ohio disrupted the ability for many customers to make calls, according to Verizon.

Phone calls were dropping after just seconds and customers in multiple Northeast Ohio cities reported the same issue.

As of 8 p.m. Sunday, Verizon said everything was fixed and working normally.
