Police said the 14-year-old boy who was shot in the back Friday evening was sitting outside listening to music with friends when three young men on bikes shot at them.
The boy was struck in the 1400 block of East 115th Street just before 10 p.m, Cleveland EMS said.
Cleveland EMS said the boy was transported to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in serious condition. Police said Saturday morning his injuries are not life threatening.
The incident is now under investigation.
