Two teens were hurt after police said a car drove up to them and fired shots at the victims Saturday night, authorities said.
According to police, officers responded to West 89th Street and West Tech Way at around 8:15 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
At the scene, police spoke with two victims – a 16-year-old male and a 19-year-old male – who were with their aunt.
Victims said they were walking on West 89th Street when a red car drove up to them and the windows rolled down.
The victims told police a black male then pointed a 9mm pistol at them from the car window, and that the suspect male began firing shots.
The victims attempted to run and duck behind a car parked on the street, before fleeing to their aunt’s house.
The 16-year-old, who suffered a minor gunshot wound to the thigh, was taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Police said the suspects are unknown males in a red, four-door vehicle.
Authorities are investigating.
