CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Five firefighters from the Cleveland Heights Fire Department recently tested positive for COVID-19, according to Fire Chief Dave Freeman.
Cleveland Heights Fire Department said that it has a contract for intensive cleaning of the stations and all of the vehicles, in addition to the twice-daily sanitation conducted by the employees.
Freeman said while the five firefighters are quarantined the department can easily handle the staff reduction on a short-term basis and doesn’t believe response times will be impacted.
