At just seven years old, Carter Nelson has already undergone three open heart surgeries and a handful of other procedures.
Carter was born with congenital heart disease like one out of 110 children. Saturday, Carter and hundreds of others affected by the disease flocked to Wade Oval in Cleveland for the annual Northern Ohio Congenital Heart Walk. More than $70,000 was raised to help with research and awareness.
Carter's team raised more than $4,000 for the Children's Heart Foundation.
