A backhoe trailer clipped the Mayfield Road Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority bridge Wednesday morning, dumping hydraulic fluid onto the road.
It happened as the backhoe was heading eastbound on Mayfield Road.
The clearance of the bridge is 12 feet 6 inches and the backhoe was 12 feet 7 inches, according to authorities.
The accident caused some superficial damage to the bridge.
A hydraulic line on the backhoe became loose, spilling fluid onto the road.
Mayfield Road was closed to traffic as crews cleaned up the spill.
There were no reported injuries.
