A body has been found in connection to the abduction in East Cleveland, according to Mayor Gary Norton.
Norton said the body and a car were found at East 155th and Aspinwall Avenue.
The car's license plate matched the license plate of the victim's missing vehicle, a 2005 brown Buick LaSabre. There was blood on the back bumper.
The discovery was made less than 24 hours after East Cleveland Police confirm the man was abducted.
According to the Cuyahoga Emergency Communications System, the man is identified as 46-year-old Charles Barnes.
"I don't know where he is," said Francine Barnes, the victim's mother, prior to news breaking about a body being found. "They [suspects] took the keys and came in with a gun, hit me in the head. I don't know what's going on. I just know I want my son back."
Barnes said two armed and masked men stormed into her house and assaulted her then went outside and shot her son. They then put her son in his car and drove off.
The suspects, two black men, are considered armed and dangerous.
