Chagrin Falls shooting suspect indicted

Frank Staton, a man suspected of shooting several people at the Hamlet Village Retirement Center, was indicted Friday on murder and assault charges, according to Chagrin Falls police.

Police reported on March 24, officers responded and investigated a shooting at Hamlet Village. Two women were killed in the shooting. They were identified as 58-year-old Catherine Sutter of Burton and 58-year-old Terri Treadway of Chardon. Thomas Miller, Interim Executive Director of the Hamlet Village Retirement Center, said Treadway and Sutter we're making their housekeeping rounds when they were shot and killed in building 14.

Staton, 56, was indicted by the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury on one count of aggravated murder, one count of murder, and two counts of felonious assault, Chagrin Falls police reported. 

Police said Staton was still hospitalized in stable condition under guard. A court date at Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court will be set after he's released from the hospital.
