Parma Police charged a 27-year-old man with aggravated burglary on Monday following a standoff at home last week.

Tommy Devon Dorsey, of Cleveland, is accused of driving recklessly and crashing into a utility pole on the side of a church in the 6500 block of Broadview Road. He ran away from the crash, entered a house with a gun and confronted a woman who was home alone. A second man was thrown from the car and was found unconscious on the ground, police said.

The woman was able run away from Dorsey and call police.

Multiple daycare facilities and schools in the area were placed on lockdown while SWAT responded to the home where Dorsey was.

Dorsey later surrendered to police.

Additional charges for Dorsey are expected, police said.
