A homeowner and an alleged burglar were taken into custody after police said the latter shot the suspect after he tried to break into the man's home on Saturday morning.

Second district officers responded to a home on the 3100 block of Marvin Avenue for a report of a man shot at around 1:30 a.m.
According to police, the 19-year-old suspect attempted to break into the home. The homeowner chased the suspect outside and then shot him twice in the leg.
Both the suspect and homeowner were taken into custody, police said.

The suspect was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
Police are not releasing additional details on the incident at this time.
