The victim of a brutal slashing on Cleveland’s west side said Thursday he had a neighbor to thank for saving his life.
Dennis Thompson, 68, said he was stabbed in the face multiple times by the squatter living upstairs from him at the Redwood Apartments on W. 33 St. in Cleveland.
The stabbing happened Wednesday night. A neighbor saw Thompson in the hallway and called 911. Thompson was transported to MetroHealth where he got dozens of stitches on the right side of his face and on one of his hands. By Thursday, he had already been released from the hospital.
Cleveland Police are looking for Steven J. Henderson Jr., 29. Henderson is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and felonious assault.
Thompson said Henderson stole his grey 2007 Chevy Impala, license plate number GSA-4234.
