Neighbors in East Cleveland are fed up with people dumping garbage on their city’s streets. Walter Melton is taking it upon himself to stop the problem.
"I believe in the city,” said Melton. I love this city, I’ve got a passion for it. It’s about to be beautified again."
Melton has organized city cleanups through his organization, Save Our Sons.
“It’s a blessing from God,” said Melton. "It feels like, it feels like I got the whole city on my back."
"It’s not a city problem,” said James Edward. “You cannot complain about conditions in your community if you're not doing anything about it. This is home."
Melton said he is also encouraging neighbors to report illegal dumping to police.
