The Environmental Protection Agency was notified Tuesday morning after 350 gallons of diesel fuel was found to have leaked into a storm drain in Moreland Hills, according to the authorities.

Around 8:30 a.m., police and fire crews were called to a home on Lochspur Lane after a strong odor of gas was reported.

The source of the smell was discovered to be coming from the maintenance garage at the Chagrin Valley Country Club at 4700 Som Center Road. Inside the garage, firefighters located a storage tank leaking into a nearby storm drain.

Authorities said the spill does not pose a public health risk.  The EPA has been notified.
