News 5's Jon Rudder suited up to take a ride with the Air Force Thunderbirds and got the experience of a lifetime.
The G suit was like a body-sized blood pressure cuff, designed to keep the blood from rushing to his legs while pulling g's in the plane's maneuvers. The plane can pull up to nine g's - that's nine times the force of gravity. That means a person weighing 100 pounds would experience 900 pounds of pressure.
Once he was suited up and ready to go, it was up in the air to begin the fun, starting off with some basic maneuvers to work up to the g's.
What a ride!
