A Lakewood police cruiser was hit by suspected car thieves Thursday night.
According to Lakewood police, the suspected thieves pulled into a Gas USA parking lot when officers pulled in behind them.
While the officers were trying to apprehend the suspects, one of the cars hit a police cruiser. An officer that was getting out of the car was knocked back into the vehicle, but was not hit by the car.
Police have taken four people into custody and say that there are possibly two still at large.
