Cleveland police found a man in the driver's seat of a crashed vehicle with gunshot wounds Saturday night.
The car was crashed into a building at East 118th Street and Buckeye Road. Police found a 29-year-old black man inside the car with gunshot wounds to his side and back.
The victim was taken to University Hospitals by Emergency Medical Services where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary information shows the victim and another man, age 27, were stopped in a car together when they spoke with occupants in another vehicle. Two unknown men walked by and shots were fired, according to officers.
The victim was shot. He accelerated the car, lost control and hit a building, according to police.
Authorities say the other man inside the car was seen removing a duffel bag from the car and took it behind a building. Officers found multiple bags of marijuana inside.
The 27-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody for drug charges. He was found standing outside the crashed car with no injuries.
