PARMA, Ohio — Parma police and the U.S. Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force have arrested a man accused of shooting at a woman in an attempt to kill her.
The man, Deandre Michael Johnson, 26, of Cleveland, has been charged with felonious assault.
Authorities located Johnson hiding at a home in the 400 block of East 150th Street in Cleveland.
Parma police said that on Thursday, officers responded to Chevybrook Estates on Chevrolet Boulevard after shots were reportedly fired in the area.
Upon arrival, officers said that they spoke with a woman who told them she was sitting in car with Johnson when he became upset. Johnson then started to drive away but stopped and ordered the woman out of the vehicle. When the woman got out, Johnson allegedly shot at her but missed.
The woman told police that she ran towards her apartment and Johnson allegedly fired another shot at her.
Authorities say Johnson is currently on probation in connection with a case out of Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond at the Parma City Jail.
Police said the case will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office to be presented to a grand jury.
