Man's body found on Benham Avenue in Cleveland

Cleveland Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a man whose body was found Thursday in the 12000 block of Benham Avenue. 

Officers responded to the address and searched outside as part of a missing person investigation. The body, buried in the backyard, was discovered by a cadaver dog around 12 p.m. 

The man was identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, but his name has not been released. The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.

This is an ongoing investigation.
