HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — An officer was injured when a Highland Heights police cruiser and a Tesla collided during a funeral escort for a 52-year employee of the city on Monday.
The cruiser was providing a funeral escort for Jean Buchak, a retired employee of the police department and Highland Heights City Hall, according to a police spokesperson.
While driving on Mayfield and Brainard roads, a cruiser was involved in an accident with a Tesla.
The officer was taken to the hospital, and later released with a minor injury.
Lyndhurst police are investigating the crash.
