Parma police arrested a 27 year-old Parma man in connection with the rape of two children, both under the age of 8, according to a report released on Friday.
Police said the man was identified as Bruce W. Balog, of Parma.
Balog was arrested Thursday morning near his home after detectives obtained an arrest warrant, officials reported.
Balog was charged in Parma Municipal Court with one count of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition, police said. Balog waived his preliminary hearing and the case was given to the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury.
Authorities reported Balog was arrested by Parma detectives after an investigation into allegations that he raped the two children at his home earlier in March. Parma detectives are also working with detectives from the Cleveland Police Department who are also investigating Balog in connection with other incidents that occurred in Cleveland.
