Police are looking for the person responsible for pickpocketing a woman at a restaurant in Crocker Park last month.
Westlake police say an Avon Lake woman was dining at Yard House on Dec. 18 when her wallet was stolen out of her purse.
"She slung her purse on the back of the chair, went through her purse and took her wallet and credit cards. Almost immediately started ringing up," said Captain Guy Turner with the Westlake Police Department.
Her credit card was used that same night to purchase $5,060 worth of items, including $1,900 at Game Stop in North Olmsted. Turner said the credit card was also used at Rite Aid and Best Buy, both in North Olmsted.
"Within an hour of the theft this woman created a false driver's license and presented it with the credit card," added Turner.
Anyone with information about the name of the woman is asked to call Westlake Police Department at 440-871-3311.
