Police are investigating a catalytic converter theft that was captured on surveillance video.
The incident happened April 13 in a parking lot located in the 2000 Block of West 32nd Street in Cleveland.
Carolyn Willis said she was at work when a dark colored car pulled up next to her Honda.
Someone stepped out of the passenger side of the car, jacked her car up and then stole her catalytic converter.
"I went out to my car, start it up and all of sudden, boom,” said Willis. "I just wish these people [criminals] would use their time and effort for good things, opposed to bad things."
Police said theft of catalytic converters have been happening often. Officers made an arrest in February. The person admitted to stealing 80 converters around Cuyahoga County.
