Fort Worth, Texas police confirmed that Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was involved in a domestic altercation early Saturday morning.

A representative from the police department said Manziel was not arrested.

Police were called to an apartment complex at 2 a.m. Saturday. A 23-year-old woman, who identified Manziel as her ex-boyfriend, told police she was involved in a disturbance with Manziel Friday evening in Dallas.

In a preliminary investigation, Fort Worth Police determined that a possible assault had occurred outside of its jurisdiction. The woman was said by police to be "uncooperative with officers on scene, and they were unable to locate a crime scene."

The woman also told police that she had concerns of the well-being of Manziel. Fort Worth officers attempted to locate him, and later determined that he was safe and was not in danger.

Fort Worth Police said that its actively working with Dallas Police to determine if a criminal offense occurred. The Dallas Police Department made the following statement to newsnet5:

The Dallas Police Department has been notified by the Fort Worth Police Department of a possible offense that may have occurred within the Dallas city limits. We are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and have no further information at this time. When additional information becomes available it will be released as appropriate.

The Fort Worth incident was not Manziel's first domestic altercation. Manziel was pulled over in Avon in October following a domestic incident.

A representative of the Cleveland Browns declined to comment.

Sashi Brown, the team's newly appointed vice president of football operations, said last week that the team is "not in any panic to make any decision one way or another on him."

Manziel did not attend the team's season finale against Pittsburgh. The QB was out with a concussion at the time, but Manziel skipped a mandated medical treatment at the team's facility. Reports from Las Vegas reported that Manziel was in Nevada during the Browns' closing weekend.
