Teens stole a van and hit six cars as police chased them from North Randall to Cleveland, police said.

A North Randall officer spotted a person running from Rose's Discount Store near 4601 Northfield Road. The person jumped into a red van and the van took off, police said.

Officers chased the car and found out it had been reported stolen from Cleveland. Police said that the car traveled at a high rate of speed and recklessly as it struck six vehicles on Miles Road. The van also rammed a police unit and another car in a Rally's parking lot before coming to a stop.

Five people fled from the van. Three were caught and two more escaped.

The three who were apprehended were the 15-year-old driver, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old.

Police are still looking to identify the other two people who were in the car. Anyone with information is asked to call 216-663-1235.
